Hello DECA Members, Here is a recap of our virtual meeting Tuesday (9/13). Business Administration: Went over PM requirements for members interested, and went over BOR guidelines and interpretation of the 2023 topic, had members begin creating templates for the first canvas assignment, and brainstormed businesses to partner with along with a Q&A session. Finance: Introduced the FOR written, explained how we will be using Canvas to track progress, and started listing potential businesses to interview for written. Entrepreneurship: Went over the written components of an entrepreneurship event, and covered different concepts such as Key Metrics, channels, executive summary, and more. Homework was assigned to start thinking of an idea for your event and start filling out the template provided during the meeting. Marketing: Went over guidelines for IMC and OR events, had members doing IMC go over and start the template given to help begin their written as their first Canvas assignment, gave them example written ideas, and had a Q&A session. Hospitality: Went over guidelines for HTOR, had members brainstorm topics/business ideas for written, and provided feedback for topics selected. Also, from now on, we will not be taking in emails to excuse your absence from our meetings; instead, we will be using a form. Here is the link to the form.
